Yaay beach time!! Park Tayrona is a national park - it's a 1.5 hour drive from Santa Marta, plus a 2 hours hike in to get to the beautiful beaches where we stayed overnight. Note: we now understand how people could die while escaping the heat beneath the shadow of a coconut tree. A huge coconut dropped just a couple of meters away from us and made such a loud THUD that it woke us up from our beach nap! :)
